History

Humble beginnings doesn’t even begin to describe the company that Marty Buckholt created back in 1989. With no more than a one car garage and the trunk of his car, Marty began ‘making the rounds’ installing, selling and servicing large inflatables. All of that changed in the summer of 1990 when the company officially moved into its first warehouse. After hiring employees #2 and #3, you could say it started snowballing and it has never been a dull moment since. In 1991, Air Ad Promotions expanded into Houston & San Antonio, TX. Then they made their way into Southern California, where they set up an installation location. 1993 proved to be another turning point for the company as we obtained our first Fortune 500 company (which we still have) AND manufactured our first balloon in-house. During the course of the year in 1994, we developed the slogan ‘We get you noticed.’ We began partnering with a Chicago company in 1994 to handle the Illinois area.

Then, in 1996, came partnerships with Seattle and Denver to handle those markets. We also added a second warehouse in Memphis that same year and began servicing Nashville, Tennessee. In 1997, we expanded to the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia. Toward the end of 1997 and the beginning of 1998, we began servicing the state of New York with a 300 location event for Eckerds and never left! In 1999, we started installing in Kansas and Missouri.

We expanded to West Texas and New Mexico in 2001 and then to Northern California in 2002. 2003 and 2004 brought about some more changes as we set up a manufacturing facility in Phoenix. We also moved into the New England area, New Orleans, Virginia & Southern New Jersey.  We go where our customers need us!

In 2005 we added warehouse #3 and in 2006, warehouse #4. 2005 and 2006 were also milestone years are we marked manufacturing our 500th inflatable (since then we’ve lost count)!

Interesting Air Ad Promotions Fact: In 2006 we completed at least 1 job in every state including Alaska and Hawaii that year.

In 2007 we celebrated another big step –  we added overseas manufacturing and invested in an import company. That same year, we expanded into Alabama. In 2008 we trademarked the name of our signature flag, the ‘Adversail’. 2009 – 2011 was another whirlwind time period as we made our way into West Virginia, western Pennsylvania and Ohio. Then into Michigan and Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2013 we opened warehouse #5, which meant we could reduce shipping costs even more and distribute materials even faster. Interesting Air Ad Promotions Fact: We completed our 100,000th event in 2013!
